San Nicolás de los Garza, NL, September 27, 2021- Axtel Networks (“Axnet”), a leader in Fiber Optic Infrastructure Solutions for ICTs, announced that it is the first company in Mexico that has put into operation the API (interface Programming Program) of the MEF, a leading global industry association of network, cloud and technology providers promoting network transformation to drive the digital economy.

The MEF has created standards for APIs that make it possible to automate business functions between operators with immediate response times, which were previously manual.

"With the integration of the standards of the MEF model, Axnet reinforces its commitment to Agility with our clients as their neutral provider in communications infrastructure solutions and positions us at the global forefront at the level of the main global operators", said Javier Rodriguez Pereyra , Director of Planning and Strategy Axnet.

Offering more agile response times, automating operations and ordering services, accelerating business processes, thus improving the service experience, are some of the main benefits of implementing automated APIs. "Thanks to the integration of APIs in our processes, we can guarantee immediate responses, when before, they took about a week, making business interactions much more effective," said Javier Rodriguez Pereyra

With this certification Axtel Networks is positioned as one of 23 operators worldwide that already operate or are implementing the standards of the MEF model, the first in Mexico.

Axnet has more than 20 years of experience in the Mexican market and the broadest fiber optic infrastructure of its own: with a presence in 71 cities and with more than 260 thousand companies in coverage.
